Finast Tablets

Generic Proscar is primarily prescribed to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia in men. Proscar gradually reduces size of the prostate from its enlarged state, bringing relief to the patient. Finast's main ingredient Finasteride, the same as in Proscar.

Dosage and administration
Always try to take Generic Proscar at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food. This medicine may be crushed if difficult to swallow.

Side effects
Side effects that may occur while taking this medicine include a change in sexual function or breast enlargement. If any side effects are persistent or become bothersome, consult your physician. Contact your physician immediately if you experience a skin rash, or swelling of lips.


Precautions
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. Inform your physician or pharmacist of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Tell your physician if you have or have had any medical conditions or if you have any allergies to any other medicines or any other substances, such as foods, preservatives or dyes. If you have not told your physician about any of the above, tell them before you take any Proscar.
Inform your physician of any other medical conditions, allergies, or pregnancy. Use of this medicines is NOT recommended if you are female. Finasteride use is contraindicated in women when they are or may potentially be pregnant.

Women should not handle crushed or broken Generic Proscar tablets when they are pregnant or may potentially be pregnant because of the possibility of absorption of finasteride and the subsequent potential risk to a male fetus. Finasteride tablets are coated and will prevent contact with the active ingredient during normal handling, provided that the tablets have not been broken or crushed.
